A Letter From Our Team
Dear Southern Hills Members and Community,
It has always been our goal to provide you with the best possible golf experience, both on and off the course, including being one of the earliest courses to open. We are very carefully monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and referring to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), government agencies, and local health officials for guidance and recommendations in this difficult situation.
While we are uncertain whether or not Governor Walz’s Executive Order 20-04 applies to “regular golf courses”, such as Southern Hills, we will voluntarily remain closed through March 27.
As of now, we plan on opening as soon as the situation and weather permits. However, nothing is as important to us as the health of our guests, community, and staff members. We are paying close attention to national and local guidelines, and we’ll follow best practices recommended by public health officials.
The great thing about golf is that it’s an excellent recreation for “social distancing” and stress management in the time ahead. Upon opening, all Southern Hills staff will practice proper cleaning and social distancing protocols, as well as observing several additional practices on and off the course, in an effort to ensure our customers remain safe and healthy, including:
- Hand sanitizer stations have been order to place throughout the clubhouse.
- Range ball baskets will be treated in between uses.
- Additional sterilization products will be added to our range ball washing process.
- Additional sterilization will be conducted on our carts between each use.
We’ll also be working with local associations and health officials to determine any additional necessary steps.
We are grateful to all of the health professionals, government officials and service providers who are continuing to dedicate their time and effort to best serve those around the world effected by COVID-19.
Sincerely,
The Southern Hills Team
